Using LiveLink with the InDesign server

Introduction

To link segments live with InDesign preview, you need to have an Adobe InDesign license activated on your account. To activate XTM Adobe InDesign on your server, contact the XTM Sales department: sales@xtm.cloud.

Guidelines

  1. When you have an Adobe InDesign license activated on your account, create a project with InDesign source files (click here for help). If fonts and images are integrated in the source file, select the source file:

If fonts and images are not integrated in the source file, upload the fonts and images as preview files by clicking Additional files and then selecting Preview files:

  1. Open the files for translation (click here for help). To open the LiveLink preview, open the Preview menu in the top left XTM Workbench toolbar and select PDF Interactive.

  1. When the preview is ready, a green message that informs you is displayed at the bottom left corner of the page. Click it to download the preview.

  1. Open the preview in Adobe Acrobat Reader. When you click any of the texts in the document, the segment that contains that text will activate in XTM Workbench.
